Are you interested in or do you know someone else who would be ideal in being a part of the National Leadership Council or the Executive Board next year?
We are currently in the discernment process for NCYAMA leadership roles - and welcome all those gifted in and passionate for the work of young adult ministry to apply.

In the NCYAMA organization, leadership is divided into two govering bodies:
The National Leadership Council: a representative body of liaisons between NCYAMA and the fourteen geographic Catholic episcopal regions as well as between NCYAMA and other ministerial fields (such as youth, campus, adult faith, family, and vocations ministries) and national organizations (including La Red and the National Black Catholic Congress). The primary focus of the Council is the advancement of the field of young adult ministry across the country.

The Executive Board: a smaller governing body consisting of the NCYAMA president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and the marketing and development coordinators who work in partnership with the Executive Director, the Episcopal Moderator, and the USCCB Liaison. The focus of the Board is the oversight and management of NCYAMA as a national organization.

Those who possess leadership skills, are commited to the mission of NCYAMA, and are open to working on a national level are ideal candidates for leadership roles on the National Leadership Council and/or the Executive Board. Here is the discernment process that will take place:
1. Applicants are asked to carefully review the descriptions and expectations of the Leadership Council and Executive Board and its members.
2. Applicants should fill out and submit the NCYAMA Leadership Application Form. All applications should be returned to NCYAMA by Thanksgiving Day (November 25, 2010).
3. Application Forms are carefully reviewed by those currently in leadership of the organization in a respectful and prayerful manner.
4. Candidates are discerned for the open roles - and are finalized in an official capacity at a live National Leadership Council meeting. (this year, that process takes place immediately prior to the National Leadership Forum in New Orleans on Wednesday, December 8, 2010).
Terms for these roles will begin January 1, 2011. All positions are two-year terms which will expire in December 2012.
